I have emails appearing in my outbox as queued or drafts and showing up as sent in the new outlook app on Windows 10. Any suggestions?

I have recently had a lot of my emails show up in both the sent folder and then immediately after showing up in the outbox as queued or drafts. If I close the outlook app on my laptop and re-open it, the outbox becomes empty. I have tried looking up trouble shooting steps but none of the suggestions are options in the outlook app that I have.

    I have the same issue i tried everything and nothing works out. Since October no email I sent with outlook haven't received

    I am having the same problem. Emails (supposedly sent via Bt Email) don't get sent and eventiually sit in my Draft mail box marked as 'Queued' and with the message 'Something went wrong and we haven't sent your message yet.'

    I have noticed this when sending email to SmarterMail. Mail indeed jumps from Sent items to Outbox to Sent items. My mail client is New Outlook.
