I have recently had a lot of my emails show up in both the sent folder and then immediately after showing up in the outbox as queued or drafts. If I close the outlook app on my laptop and re-open it, the outbox becomes empty. I have tried looking up trouble shooting steps but none of the suggestions are options in the outlook app that I have.

Since new outlook is web based, the outbox folder is not properly reloading. Please go to View menu > Synch to ensure you are seeing real-time data.

Hi everyone
I have a suggestion for something that appears to be helping manage this. If, once you've pressed send on an email, you don't do anything more in outlook until the email is sent, the email seems to actually send. This appears to work pretty much all the time that I've tried it over a month. It seems bizarre that this would have any impact, but I can only assume that activity in Outlook could be interfering with the send process.
I'd be grateful for those who'd be willing to verify that the same happens for them. We live in hope of solution, but this work around seems to offer me some relief.
I am so disappointed at being forced into the new version of Outlook. This has reduced my productivity enormously. Everything takes so much longer with emails often getting stuck in Outbox or Queues that if you forget to check means further delays and issues (i.e. you won't realise until you get a call from a client etc. telling you they haven't received them). If you are running a GMAIL or non-outlook email address you have no hope with NEW outlook. The previous ease of having everything at your finger tips (in particular setting up meeting invites etc.) that were seamless with TEAMS etc. are no so onerous . If you have to invite many people you often have to type the addresses from scratch. The search functionality is poor , slow and often just hangs. Previously you were able to sort emails out, now this is not so easy and when you try it just hangs ... PLEASE CAN YOU MAKE IT EASY FOR PEOPLE TO SWITCH BACK TO OLD OUTLOOK - PLEASE MAKE THIS SEAMLESS. If only there was an alternative.

Yes, if somebody would read these posts ... They just automatically spam desperate users with responses from other desperate users hoping the bug goes away by itself.
It's still happening, you should have enoygh daya to fix by now!
