Outlook desktop calendar defaults to open at 12am instead of the work day

I use the desktop version and it opens with midnight at the top instead of 8am like is used to

  1. the Web version opens to the current time but the desktop version opens to 12am (see screen shot)

I would like it to open either to the beginning of my day (at 8am like is used to) or the current time is fine as well (like the web version does)

I can scroll down every time but its annoying. My work hours are set to 8am-4pm. I am not using New Outlook because you cannot move the folders around. This issue is only a few months old.

    Ensuring that the Location drop down for each day in Work Hours was set to Remote is what fixed it for us. Click Work Hours under Options->Calendar and once you set the location on each day, close then reopen Outlook and it should work.

    I did this. It worked for the current day, then I skipped forward to next week and it went right back to showing midnight. It just started for me a few weeks ago and is sporadic, but does it more often than not and is very annoying as I manage multiple calendars for people as well as rooms, so I am in the calendar constantly. My IT guy looked at updates just last week so I have all of those. I just can't seem to figure it out either. I changed my start times to see if that worked, but again, only for the current day. Closed out the desktop app and reopened it, did everything that was suggested here for the times and to no avail for me.

    Initially, this didn't work for me. I had Outlook set to different start times on different days of the week. As an experiment, I tried making my starting time the same for every day of the week, and then this solution DID work. So if you use different start times, you may have to give that up to avoid having to scroll all the time. Totally worth it, in my book. Thanks, Aaron King!
