Outlook desktop calendar defaults to open at 12am instead of the work day

Ensuring that the Location drop down for each day in Work Hours was set to Remote is what fixed it for us. Click Work Hours under Options->Calendar and once you set the location on each day, close then reopen Outlook and it should work.

In case someone is still having the issue, I just fixed mine this way (note that I use Outlook in deskop version and also in the mobile app. The issue was in the desktop version only, however I fixed it thru the app... I'm running it on an iPhone with iOS 18.3.1):

1. Open the calendar in the app.
2. Click on your profile picture at the top to display Calendar Options.
3. It will display a list with several calendars, the active ones are selected with a blue checkmark. My app was displaying old coworkers' calendars besides mine.
4. Click on the gear icon next to the unwanted calendars to open each calendar's options. Once there, there is a button to delete it. Continue deleting as many calendars you're not interested in.
5. Close the app. Close your desktop Outlook window. Open again desktop window and check if your calendar view was updated to the right time slots according to your working hours... it may take a couple minutes to show it right.

In our organization, years ago we used to share other team members calendars' to show availability in detail (and for our boss to monitor our agendas, I guess), however I'm not part of that team since many years ago but never had an issue with my calendar view, until a couple weeks ago and it was annoying, until today that I realized how to solve it.

• Go to the ONLINE outlook at outlook.office365.com
• Go to settings>calendar>work hours and location
• Change each of the times a little bit, say start at 7:15 am, click SAVE
• Then change the times for all the days back to your desired start time, say 8 am, click SAVE
• Now restart your DESKTOP outlook.

I updated my office to

(its managed by my organization so that is what they allowed it to be updated to. I shut down and restarted the outlook application

1. I attempted to change my working hours from 8am-4pm to anything else, but the values never stick. (perhaps that is another organizational managed setting i am not allowed to change).
2. The issue still persists regardless of the software update. I have only been working in my standard calendar. i have not looked at other calendars or merged them in a very long time. The standard one is the one that still opens starting at 12am.
3. The multi calendar is not my issue. I just want it to work for my standard calendar
4. It is currently defaulted to 30 mins. I changed it to 15min then closed outlook and opened it again. Still starts at 12am

The intent of setting the Work Hours and Location is so that when you start classic Outlook and go to the calendar that your working hours are in that view. The day should not be showing starting at 12AM. There is not a setting to pick the exact hour that starts the day in the view. The feature before WHL did have a better defined Start Time that better controlled what hour started the day in the view.

We know the intent and we follow your instructions. The problem is the software does not agree with your intent.
