Outlook.com emails being rejected and returned by sbcglobal.net, att.net

I am aware of other questions being posted regarding this issue, but most seem to directed to corporate email, and not individual home users as myself.

As best as I can tell this problem started yesterday, August 6, 2024, when any email I sent to an sbcglobal.net or att.net email recipient was rejected and returned with the following message:

Undeliverable: Fw: PRAYER BREAKFAST, SAT AUG 10, 2024, 8 AM, at MIMI's CAFE

To: You Wed 8/7/2024 5:15 PM

This message is able to be sent again Send again

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

<recipient email address>

Your message wasn't delivered. Despite repeated attempts to deliver your message, the recipient's email system refused to accept a connection from your email system. Contact the recipient by some other means (by phone, for example) and ask them to tell their email admin that it appears that their email system is refusing connections from your email server. Give them the error details shown below. It's likely that the recipient's email admin is the only one who can fix this problem.

The remaining information contained in the bounce message applied to email administrators, which is not applicable to me as a home user.

This problem occurs on both my windows 11 laptop, and my iPhone 13, and occurs with both classic Outlook and new Outlook. It occurs rather I send to a single recipient to multiple recipients in my contacts list.

I was able to send emails to these recipients as late as last Friday, August 2, 2024.

What solutions does Microsoft have to help resolve this issue?

    UPDATE: I've talked to Andy (Supervisor). He's been the ONLY one who has been helpful. I asked him the status of ticket # 021-656-3156. According to him (and he double checked) the issue has been resolved. Previously he was the one who told me that there was a ticket submitted about the issue. I'm in the process of sending email to att.net to see if they get it.

    That was the piece I was missing, Digital Assistance Center. Apparently, they don't have anyone trained well enough to figure out that seemingly emails fall under the Digital Assistance Center arena. Thanks.

    No, not on my end, other than I called the number Janice had for ATT and spent over 30 minutes on the phone which involved a clueless customer service person who agreed to eventually let me speak to a supervisor, Abraham, who said the Ticket number meant nothing to him so he couldn't transfer my call. However, he did come back on the line and he said it was ATT's problem with their server and they hope to have fixed in 24 hours. So..., Abraham must have had someone he spoke with who knew of the problem unless he was just making something up to get me off of the phone

    He then said I could call and when asked for what I wanted by the automated system to say technical support, so I did that and they said they weren't aware of any problem and I should check with Outlook. I told the lady I spoke with that Abraham said it was their problem on their end. I asked her to check with a supervisor since Janice had listed a ticket number. After supposedly checking, the lady then said they have no record of any problems with their servers as I described them and it must be outlook's problem. I need to contact Outlook to find out what is wrong with Outlook, perhaps settings.

    Otherwise, the only way they can check is for one of our email buddies to call ATT and tell them they are not receiving emails from us and they they can look at their customer's email account to see what the problem is and if it is on their end or Outlook's.

    So far, a big waste of time. Lots of finger pointing.
