My Outlook Calendar wont allow me to add or make changes

The temporary solution worked, However, I would like to change my default account back to the one I use as soon as possible. Is there anyway I can get notified that the fix was made? An email notification would be fine.

Reloading the account didn't work. Microsoft can you provide a permanent solution as not being able to add meetings to Outlook is a significant problem!

It's happening here too - Northern England - Monday 11 Nov 2024 - and it's for a BTinternet email

I have exactly the same problem & this isn't a work around as all calendar appointments & worse emails default to that account as well

We have just done a test. Calendar triggers the issue of not being able to add an event when a three-way mailbox (Gmail/IMAP/POP) is set as the primary account for New Outlook. However, only the main account cannot be added, the other accounts in New Outlook can be added normally.

So, as a temporary solution, you can add an account that you don't use often. Click Settings->Accounts->Manage in the top right corner. Set this rarely used email as your main account, and then you can add events to your frequently used email calendar.

I will share any updates with you if there is progress.
