Mac Mail says unable to verify account name or password

Hi!

For a few weeks, I've been getting "enter password for hotmail" notification on my Mac. When I enter it, it says "Unable to verify account name or password". I've tried with POP, IMAP, Exchange... still have the same problem. I have another account on Mac Mail (not Outlook account) and works perfectly so I presume it's not coming from Mac but rather from Outlook.

Can someone help me please?

I wonder if I can set up a hotmail forwarder to one of my other emails?

I tried this to and it didn't work. That is when I contacted customer support. Ultimately, they decided an upgrade to the operating system was necessary. If someone responds with something to put in that field that works....let me know.

I'm on iMac 10.13. and using Mac Mail
Is there an Internal URL and an External URL that I could add that might add my hotmail back to Mac Mail?
