Hi!
For a few weeks, I've been getting "enter password for hotmail" notification on my Mac. When I enter it, it says "Unable to verify account name or password". I've tried with POP, IMAP, Exchange... still have the same problem. I have another account on Mac Mail (not Outlook account) and works perfectly so I presume it's not coming from Mac but rather from Outlook.
Can someone help me please?

Yes, sadly, it appears to be a dead end for me unless someone has discovered a work-a-round that can integrate all my emails into Mac Mail. It's only hotmail that is missing.

I've tried and tried to re-add hotmail to my mac mail via Exchange option, but it just won't accept it.
I'd love to find a work round, but it is appearing more and more remote.

Did they say, that if we upgraded our macs , that the problem would go away? I, too, have an old Mac. Thanks for the feedback!
Your mails are still stored in Hotmail, right? If so, just add again the IMAP settings in Mac Mail. All your mails stored in Hotmail will reappear in Mac Mail (it may take a little time before they are fully there). I did it multiple times.
