Mac Mail says unable to verify account name or password

Hi!

For a few weeks, I've been getting "enter password for hotmail" notification on my Mac. When I enter it, it says "Unable to verify account name or password". I've tried with POP, IMAP, Exchange... still have the same problem. I have another account on Mac Mail (not Outlook account) and works perfectly so I presume it's not coming from Mac but rather from Outlook.

Can someone help me please?

    For details,you can follow these documents:

    1. Remove your email account in Mail.
    2. Add your email account in Mail again. When adding the account, make sure that you choose the correct email service provider for your email address.

    I've done this several times, it still doesn't work (it works for a few hours and then the problem comes back).

    In the link you provide, it says: "When you add an email account to Mail on your Mac, choose Microsoft Exchange for email accounts that end with onmicrosoft.com and for accounts that end with outlook.com, hotmail.com, or live.com."

    I've already done this as I said in my first post: even choosing Microsoft Exchange doesn't work (it works for a few hours and then the problem comes back).

    When do you plan to fix this?

    I solved this by selecting Mail,

    going into Accounts,

    Deleting my old account,

    Adding a new one selecting "Microsoft Exchange",

    "Signing in using microsoft"

    I am also having the same problem and have been through this several times - currently I cannot put my account online - I have deleted the account and tried to reinstall it - nothing works!

    When will this be fixed, please
