Hello there, I couldn't login to my email on the Outlook website or on my smartphone. I never log out of my email on my smartphone and computer, but it's logged out. When I tried to login, I got the message "Too Many Requests" on my smartphone and computer. May you help me so I can login to my email account? I've changed my password, but still couldn't login.

one of the worst email services is Hotmail/microsoft. It blocks your account and forces you to change your password after bots try to access it. I’ve already changed my password basically 20 times because every time I log in, I’m required to change it again for this reason. It’s super inconvenient. On top of that, there’s also a login delay even if there was just one, just one failed login attempt, it immediately says “too many attempts.”aAnd when you try to contact Microsoft support or anything like that, it’s usually just an automated system, and every complaint is basically ignored, probably because they laid off most of their customer service staff and replaced it with something useless. Meanwhile, Google remains far better in every aspect, even when it comes to security
This comment will probably just be one more among many that are ignored.
It’s no wonder Google keeps outperforming in every aspect, from search, to AI, to email.
Luckily, not yet in gaming and operating systems, I suppose , but it’s probably just a matter of time.

Same here. It's incredibly infuriating. I used to think Microsoft user experiences were improving, but I was badly mistaken. The constant tinkering with Office 365 (changed to Microsoft 365 - with ZERO improvements and now changed again (!) to "Copilot") has only complicated an already overly cluttered looking navigation and worse yet has forced odd time-wasting overly controlling intrusions on the user - such as a pop-up that asks if you really want to send this email at this particular time (off-typical-work-hours)? Do Microsoft navigational engineers think users are stupid? Obviously, yes they do. I despise the "nanny" factor in Microsoft. Leave us alone and improve your product rather than insulting your customers

It's getting worse unfortunately and this repetitive inability to get beyond the "too many requests" blockage after successfully changing my password and authenticating my identity has been absolutely awful

I finally gave up on them since I use Windows 7PRO and they no longer will even let me log in from Chrome.

I really don't care why or who since they clearly are not worried about it; this has been going on for a few years.

Switch to FIREFOX and dump the Chrome+Outlook combo.

Funny, MS said YEARS ago that they no longer support 7.

Interesting how I get "MS 7 UPDATES" every now and then.

    Whatever.

Give it up and go to FIREFOX would be my suggestion. ALSO, I now clicked the "stay logged on" button since I only work from home and no one else uses this laptop and there is nothing on it that is in any way personally critical at all.

    Cheers!

The "how come" is a mystery.

Evidently, MS management is so busy firing middle managers and increasing the span of control for executives--they would actually have to work and have to get to know the people who work for them, which they don't have time for given so many useless meetings--that they just can't prioritize this issue.

What I do, and I am only speaking for myself, is to keep selecting the refresh (circular arrow) until I can log in. Sometimes it works after 3 times, sometimes after 10.

I have occasionally had to shut down/restart, but not often.

I plan on calling my ISP this week to ask them what is going on.

My guess is if MS wanted to fix this, they would. After all, it is THEIR software I think...

    'Nuff said.

    Good plan!

I have no idea what is wrong with MS, but evidently they have more pressing things to do, like fire middle managers and increase the span of control for managers who could not possibly keep up with their people and their work.

Well, in corporate life, I have found that the pendulum swings one way then the other and then back again, much to the detriment of people who are actually trying to do the work they were assigned.

As for this hot mess, it started again lately for me.

    What I do?

I hit the refresh circle arrow several times until I get to my mail after logging in. I have also found that entering my username and waiting a minute and then my password and waiting a minute before logging in helps SOMETIMES.

Obviously, not sure this will work for anyone else, but it is easy to try. FYI, I am using Windows 7 Pro and refuse to update to anything else. All I do is email--I am retired--and have no interest in paying them any money for anything.

    Cheers!
