Outlook isn't letting me resize an image. Used to click on the pasted image and drag the corner to size. Why make updates that make things more difficult?

UPDATE 09.20.2024

AGAIN, this issue has returned, and the previous work arounds don't work either.

This site is a message board, you need to contact MS directly to get this resolved.

I contacted Support, and they say they can't fix because the issue is on the server, so MS has to fix it.

Go into your Outlook app and select Help >Feedback > Report a Problem.

The problem is: Image sizing handles do not work, and images can no longer be resized when pasted in a message body.

Hoping they get flooded with these reports and the issue is resolved quickly.

SOLUTION 1 (09 20 2024):

Paste image into a MS Word document, where the resizing handles work, size the image then clip & paste it into the message.

SOLUTION 2 (09 20 2024):

I received another work around from Anthony in a post on this board . . .

Clip image >"Save As" onto hard drive> go to Outlook> select Insert>select picture> browse to location image is stored> select image and insert into message> At this point you have 1 chance to size it with the sizing handles, after that the sizing handles no longer work.

ORIGINAL POST 07 24 2024:

Outlook isn't letting me resize an image. Used to click on the pasted image and drag the corner to size.

Outlook for Windows version 1.2024.717.400 (Production)

SOLUTION:

 Now to resize an image

1. Click to the right in a blank area so the image is NOT selected

2. Hold Shift Key down and then hit the Left Arrow Key and the resize handles will appear

My resizing and other Outlook issues were all back to normal a few days ago. Thanks to whoever is responsible for the fix! Now if you can just please leave it alone?

This is really frustrating. It worked a few days ago. Now it is the 3rd or 4th time in three months that this incredible SW update bug issue re-appears. Meanwhile, the initial workaround that KevT88 suggested on July 26, 2024 still helps out:

"Whilst the image is NOT highlighted, click and drag the mouse from outside to inside of the image (a bit fast) and the corner sizing handles will appear."

1 trillion company and can't pay 10$ someone to add the future into the new outlook.
Why we have new outlook from scratch instead the old good one which was doing great job until you start to "improve things" Its been 4 months since this issue and 1 year since new outlook and no fix yet.
