Outlook isn't letting me resize an image. Used to click on the pasted image and drag the corner to size. Why make updates that make things more difficult?

UPDATE 09.20.2024

AGAIN, this issue has returned, and the previous work arounds don't work either.

This site is a message board, you need to contact MS directly to get this resolved.

I contacted Support, and they say they can't fix because the issue is on the server, so MS has to fix it.

Go into your Outlook app and select Help >Feedback > Report a Problem.

The problem is: Image sizing handles do not work, and images can no longer be resized when pasted in a message body.

Hoping they get flooded with these reports and the issue is resolved quickly.

SOLUTION 1 (09 20 2024):

Paste image into a MS Word document, where the resizing handles work, size the image then clip & paste it into the message.

SOLUTION 2 (09 20 2024):

I received another work around from Anthony in a post on this board . . .

Clip image >"Save As" onto hard drive> go to Outlook> select Insert>select picture> browse to location image is stored> select image and insert into message> At this point you have 1 chance to size it with the sizing handles, after that the sizing handles no longer work.

1. Click to the right in a blank area so the image is NOT selected

2. Hold Shift Key down and then hit the Left Arrow Key and the resize handles will appear

Yeah; I really am starting to believe someone at M$ is trolling us by removing beneficial features such as image resizing (noticed that I could no longer resize images around a day or 2 ago and there is no way to resize, not even a ribbon option to do so). What other "features" is M$ going to take from us? Jeeze. Fix this idiocy or continue to get complaints I suppose. Maybe the folk at M$ like to be spanked. lol

This is super annoying, I agree with the rest of the people her. Change/implement it immediately. I guess updates are not supposed to make a product less good

Well I want to report the same issue.

The problem with resizing the images which are beeing pasted in the message is coming back periodically.

I used to had the issue 2-3 weeks ago - when inserting pictures made with WINDOWS CUTTING TOOL i was not able to reduce their size with standard method - left klick on any marked point and reduce size with mouse

Issue disaapeared after some time, but today - 20.09.2024 it is not working again.

I can paste pictures into the text, but tried to regulate the size and there is no chance to do it.

While it should be:

What the cause of this issue, and why does it even happening.

Currently there is now way to change image size - previous method is OFF, right click on the picture also not option for resize, select the picture with left click and use email upper MENU - no resize option.
