AGAIN, this issue has returned, and the previous work arounds don't work either.
This site is a message board, you need to contact MS directly to get this resolved.
I contacted Support, and they say they can't fix because the issue is on the server, so MS has to fix it.
Go into your Outlook app and select Help >Feedback > Report a Problem.
The problem is: Image sizing handles do not work, and images can no longer be resized when pasted in a message body.
Hoping they get flooded with these reports and the issue is resolved quickly.
SOLUTION 1 (09 20 2024):
Paste image into a MS Word document, where the resizing handles work, size the image then clip & paste it into the message.
SOLUTION 2 (09 20 2024):
I received another work around from Anthony in a post on this board . . .
Clip image >"Save As" onto hard drive> go to Outlook> select Insert>select picture> browse to location image is stored> select image and insert into message> At this point you have 1 chance to size it with the sizing handles, after that the sizing handles no longer work.

Outlook isn't letting me resize an image. Used to click on the pasted image and drag the corner to size.

SOLUTION:
Now to resize an image
1. Click to the right in a blank area so the image is NOT selected
2. Hold Shift Key down and then hit the Left Arrow Key and the resize handles will appear

Exactly. It was available last week, and seems to have been removed through a software update of some kind.

A very frustrating update, agreed! I have figured it out though. So click on the image so it is highlighted. The, click again but specifically on the actual corner of the image. Then the "resize handles", the round dots appear and you can resize to custom.
That doesn't work for everyone, apparently. Not for me.

That is a HORRIBLE change! I bet I speak for most people when I say we aren't adjusting images for "small, medium, or large." We're adjust it to fit a particular use and application, and there are sizes in between that are now inaccessible., Please stop trying to "fix" things that aren't broken. You just break them.
