Who on earth would think this is an improvement? So irritating!

UPDATE 09.20.2024
AGAIN, this issue has returned, and the previous work arounds don't work either.
This site is a message board, you need to contact MS directly to get this resolved.
I contacted Support, and they say they can't fix because the issue is on the server, so MS has to fix it.
Go into your Outlook app and select Help >Feedback > Report a Problem.
The problem is: Image sizing handles do not work, and images can no longer be resized when pasted in a message body.
Hoping they get flooded with these reports and the issue is resolved quickly.
SOLUTION 1 (09 20 2024):
Paste image into a MS Word document, where the resizing handles work, size the image then clip & paste it into the message.
SOLUTION 2 (09 20 2024):
I received another work around from Anthony in a post on this board . . .
Clip image >"Save As" onto hard drive> go to Outlook> select Insert>select picture> browse to location image is stored> select image and insert into message> At this point you have 1 chance to size it with the sizing handles, after that the sizing handles no longer work.
ORIGINAL POST 07 24 2024:
Outlook isn't letting me resize an image. Used to click on the pasted image and drag the corner to size.
Outlook for Windows version 1.2024.717.400 (Production)
SOLUTION:
Now to resize an image
1. Click to the right in a blank area so the image is NOT selected
2. Hold Shift Key down and then hit the Left Arrow Key and the resize handles will appear

This update IS VERY INCONVENIENT. Why the constant changes to things that don't need to be changed.
Once you insert the image, hold down shift key and hit the Left Arrow button and the handles appear so you can drag the corner to resize.
If another resize is needed, click to the right, outside of the image, and hold Shift Key and hit the Left arrow.
If you right click then change the size to medium, then start clicking inside and outside the image left clicks and right clicks, it will change to where you can drag and resize it. I don't understand why they would make it more difficult or if its a glitch, but that's what we've just discovered after stressing over for an hour.
Hi - the sizing handles were previously there. I have been using New Outlook since May. Just in this last week has the feature been hidden. My original Outlook app is not responding so I am essentially forced to use New Outlook which unfortunately has reduced capability for customization your view/search or editing emails.
