Suddenly Cannot Get Mail on my iPhone. And a message The mail server "imap-mail.outlook.com" is not responding.comes out. I tried a lot of things but it’s not working. Some one might help with this issue. Thanks

    Hi Cora, Yes, I did the same thing and got access to my email on my iphone again. However, my issue is that any notes I had linked to my Hotmail email on my iphone Notes app are now all gone and even though they were being backed up to my icloud, they are gone from there too and I don't know what to do to recover that information. I had a lot of important info and now it's all gone :(

    Yes, I know. The same thing happened to the emails I had archived on my Apple mail. I didn’t have any notes. I’m not sure it can be helped. Microsoft may have an answer but good luck in trying to get any assistance from them.

    I understand that you mentioned an error related to imap-mail.outlook.com.

    Due to the introduction of modern authentication, outlook.com does not support connecting IMAP/POP and SMTP in Outlook. So please check the following:

    If you are using the Outlook app for iOS, due to modern authentication, Outlook/Hotmail no longer supports connecting IMAP/POP and SMTP.

    If you are using Apple Mail to configure Outlook/Hotmail, we generally recommend selecting outlook.com for configuration.

    If you wish to configure using the IMAP protocol, you need to confirm with Apple Mail support whether they support modern authentication for configuring IMAP.

    I did this, with Apple Mail Outlook works but Hotmail still doesn't, and I can't send attachments now. Apple Mail shows All Inboxes... Outlook shows email, Hotmail still does not work and cannot see any subfolder
