Suddenly Cannot Get Mail on my iPhone. And a message The mail server "imap-mail.outlook.com" is not responding.comes out. I tried a lot of things but it’s not working. Some one might help with this issue. Thanks

    To fix this, remove the account and re-add it using the “Outlook.com” type.

    Commented prematurely, following is what I did to have it again in sync.

    1. Delete my account from the apple mail
    2. Re-created account with my old creds

    It took a while to sync but all my emails are here and notes too. Changes I observed with my new profile on apple mail-

    • I can no longer change the imap, smtp, ports, encryption settings with my new profile. I believe its now all centrally managed by o365.

    I have the same issue and get to resolve it even with the new FQDNS for IMAP. Most probably the integration between Apple mail and Microsoft is not in sync which is causing the issue.

    I will resort to using outlook app on my phone, till the issue with apple mail is fully resolved.

    Unfortunately I wasn't - all my notes associated with my Hotmail email are gone. I checked my now new Outlook Notes folder and it's empty.

    Thanks for the info. The only problem about what you've provided is that I actually deleted my account before being able to archive or move anything to somewhere temporary. I didn't know that one I deleted my hotmail email account; I wouldn't be able to add it back again using the same server/format. I appreciate your feedback though.'
