Hovering over a hyperlink in the "new" outlook doesn't display the actual URL. How can this be remedied.

A very dangerous behavior in the new outlook is that hoving the mouse pointer over a hyperlink in an email no longer displays the actual URL of the link.

Seeing the true URL is the #1 way people can avoid getting email scammed. Removing this tool is inviting people to get defrauded. This should not be a default behavior and I cannot see how to resolve this.

An update would be really appreciated.

But hey, it's actually not needed , like the taskbar in windows 8.

I'm appalled at this point. This hyperlink issue along with ads to truely fraudulent content pushed me to finally stop using outlook. I moved to Thunderbird and have got it functioning mostly the way I want.

I couldnt agree more. There is no way we can allow our user base to use the new Outlook client with this major security risk

    Hey

This might help someone. This issue got fixed for me after going into Programs and Features and repairing Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime installtion. I can now preview links in New Outlook.
