Hovering over a hyperlink in the "new" outlook doesn't display the actual URL. How can this be remedied.

A very dangerous behavior in the new outlook is that hoving the mouse pointer over a hyperlink in an email no longer displays the actual URL of the link.

Seeing the true URL is the #1 way people can avoid getting email scammed. Removing this tool is inviting people to get defrauded. This should not be a default behavior and I cannot see how to resolve this.

Do they? Do they really care? I've never been a fan of Linux, but it's like Microsoft is trying to drive people to Linux these days.

I agree, not being able to hover over a link before clicking it prevents users from being able to check a link before interacting with it.

This is a must have feature for safety, security, and peace of mind.

It seems to be the same as the spell checker in the new outlook that they also haven't been able to figure out a fix to for years. You need to pop the message out to a new window to actually get spell checking when writing a new message or replying to a message. The same for this. If you hit reply, then pop it out to a new window the URL is displayed when hovering over the hyperlink. I suspect both these issues will be fixed at the same time -- assuming anybody at Microsoft is actually working on these issues.

All resources have been diverted to building spyware into their OSes and using AI to analyze your data and informing the government of those engaged in wrongthink. I have sold and installed and recommended Microsoft products for 30 years, and I'm just about to switch to Linux, if I didn't hate the design of Linux so much.

What is weird is that new Outlook will show hover link information in the email I am sending but the email I am replying to. A previous post mention click dragging a link will show the link. That indeed does work but feels icky having to click on the unknown link. Thanks for that tip though! It is better than nothing.
