Hovering over a hyperlink in the "new" outlook doesn't display the actual URL. How can this be remedied.

A very dangerous behavior in the new outlook is that hoving the mouse pointer over a hyperlink in an email no longer displays the actual URL of the link.

Seeing the true URL is the #1 way people can avoid getting email scammed. Removing this tool is inviting people to get defrauded. This should not be a default behavior and I cannot see how to resolve this.

    This issue is absurd and dangerous. Link hover-over is the first thing I check on any even slightly suspicious email. It's like MS is trying to let people get scammed with malware, etc. So many frustrating and puzzling changes that seem to make windows seem less safe to me.

    I'm stopping using Outlook and going back to browser based inbox until this issue is fixed.

    Just when I was starting to get my users better at recognizing scams, Microsoft comes out with a Nightmare Difficulty option for Outlook. Well played, Microsoft.

    I suggest we refer to the current Outlook as the "Spearphisiher Edition"

    I appreciate the tip @FuzzMunk. Unfortunately, this workaround would be too error prone to train people on. We need a proper fix from Microsoft on this.

    One (sort of) workaround to the issue of New Outlook not showing URLs on mouse over is to click hold and drag the link. It doesn't show the full URL but at least some of it. Just be careful not to click and release, you have to click, hold, drag and then release.
