A very dangerous behavior in the new outlook is that hoving the mouse pointer over a hyperlink in an email no longer displays the actual URL of the link.
Seeing the true URL is the #1 way people can avoid getting email scammed. Removing this tool is inviting people to get defrauded. This should not be a default behavior and I cannot see how to resolve this.

It's clunky, but you can read the full link address by right clicking the link, choosing "Copy link text" or "Copy link", and then pasting it somewhere like notepad or a search box.
That's why this version of Outlook is known and the "Spearphisher's Friend". Well done, MSFT

Just when I was starting to get my users better at recognizing scams, Microsoft comes out with a Nightmare Difficulty option for Outlook. Well played, Microsoft.
I just updated to the latest WebView2 version (screenshot below). Hovering over links to see the URL is still not enabled.
We've been told to use CoPilot to the best of its abilities, we should use New Outlook. Doesn't seem right to me that we're rushing out new app builds to push the buzzy AI tool, when the app builds don't even work as they should on an enterprise level. No new 'tool' is worth compromising security, or undoing years of security training. I'm hoping this is resolved much sooner than later.
This has to considered a serious security screw up on the part of Microsoft. How can they just leave such a flaw in production? Every security guideline teaches ou to hover over links to see what lurks beneath. Now, you have to copy the link and put it in a text editor. 100% bizarre.
