Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
Same here. It didn't work yesterday (I check close to every day), and this morning it was working. Hopefully the fix has deployed to everyone now!
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
A very dangerous behavior in the new outlook is that hoving the mouse pointer over a hyperlink in an email no longer displays the actual URL of the link.
Seeing the true URL is the #1 way people can avoid getting email scammed. Removing this tool is inviting people to get defrauded. This should not be a default behavior and I cannot see how to resolve this.

This appears to have finally been fixed for me as of this morning.

It's important to distinguish between Outlook Web Application and New Outlook for Windows.
Outlook Web Application - If you hover over hyperlinks, the target shows up in a tooltip. I did the repair to Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime recommended by MarcinP before checking if it worked.
New Outlook for Windows - Hovering the pointer over a hyperlink does not reveal the target. This is dangerous and I, too, request that @microsoft restore this important security feature.
Is there any feedback from users of New Outlook for Mac? Does it suffer from the same problem?
I went to reply to an email today and "New" Outlook broke my text into two different fonts, but the UI insisted that they were the same font.
I don't know what's going on at Microsoft, but "New" Outlook is a complete train wreck. I switched to "Classic" and I encourage everyone else to do the same.
Microsoft is not the same company they were 20 years ago.
It seems to be the same as the spell checker in the new outlook that they also haven't been able to figure out a fix to for years. You need to pop the message out to a new window to actually get spell checking when writing a new message or replying to a message. The same for this. If you hit reply, then pop it out to a new window the URL is displayed when hovering over the hyperlink. I suspect both these issues will be fixed at the same time -- assuming anybody at Microsoft is actually working on these issues.
