How To Stop The New Outlook From Automatically Installing

I need help please to stop the new outlook from automatically installing and replacing my windows and calendar app. I have uninstalled the new Outlook 4 times today. Every time I launch the old mail and Calendar app the new outlook automatically installs without my permission. It stops me from using the old app. This is very annoying. I don't want the new app. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Your advice would be appreciated.

What worked for me was deleting the new Outlook's executable ("olk.exe") from "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.OutlookForWindows".

Once it's gone, it can't forcibly launch anymore when you open Windows Mail.

You first need to take ownership of the "WindowsApps" folder, then after deleting/renaming the .exe, restore the ownership back to "TrustedInstaller" (to prevent any potential issue down the line).

    can't use mail app - it blocked by the overlaying banner - saying that i can't use it and only two buttons: export data and open new outlook...

    how to hack that and remove blocking?

    UPD:

    oh! as @Crash60 said just press "open" and it will just work as nothing is happen! thx to all!

    btw, can't place new file into olk folder, can't change read only property

    I attempted to restore ownership to TurstedInstaller using this identity NTService\TrustedInstaller but when I clicked Check Names, it gave me an error. Now, I don't know what to do.

    Please advise.

    You could try rebooting and trying again to restore ownership to "Trusted Installer". Out of interest, did you succeed in getting the old Mail and Calendar app to work?

    Update:

    You can try this: When you write "NTService\TrustedInstaller" don't click on "Check Names", just click OK. It worked for me.

    No unfortunately :( I am still really annoyed though, as tried many different alternative email companies, but nothing compares to the Microsoft one. I have at least 7 accounts that all need to be monitored together, but Outlook cocked that right up, so now I have to log in here there and everywhere just to access all accounts :(
