Hi i am having the same problem but my email is with msn( very old i know). Can i ask where you wrote your email address so that it worked for you?

From the MSN home page I click on the option for "outlook.com" near the top of the page on the left hand size. It is on the same line as the link to facebook, shopping etc. It is under the MSN search bar. (I click the "x" if a pop up ad is over the line and I can't see the line)
