"imap- mail.outlook.com" doesn't support Password authentication. Please check your account I can’t get my emails but I can on a browser

My Hotmail e-mails were working just fine on my iPhone MAIL app then suddenly stopped. I have deleted my Hotmail account and tried to put it back on the iPhone by going to SETTINGS, MAIL, ADD ACCOUNT. I have selected OUTLOOK.COM and tried adding it and cannot get pass this error message. I have tried selecting OTHER and typing in my Hotmail address and password and it just keeps coming back to the selection screen with AOL, GOOGLE, YAHOO, OUTLOOK.COM, and OTHER.

I have tried turning the phone off in hopes if something needed to be reset it would do it when I turned it back on, but that hasn't worked either.

So at this point, I cannot get any e-mails on my iPhone. Any suggestions or help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

From the MSN home page I click on the option for "outlook.com" near the top of the page on the left hand size. It is on the same line as the link to facebook, shopping etc. It is under the MSN search bar. (I click the "x" if a pop up ad is over the line and I can't see the line)
