I have the same issue. Up until yesterday I have been accessing my hotmail email via my iphone SE and now get the same error message. How can this be resolved by still using the iphone email. I already have Outlook and use this for work on my phone - I don't want to have to flip between personal and work emails so use the Apple mail app for my personal email which i can no longer see. I have tried turning off and on again, tried deleting the hotmail account from the Apple app but now cannot re-add it without getting the error message "The IMAP server "imapmail.outlook.com" doesn't support Password Authentication. Please check your account settings and try again." I have already missed some important messages and it is vital I get my hotmail account added to the iphone mail app. Please adivse.

Hi there - Sorry you have been having some issues. I just wanted to let you know that what you are experiencing is likely related to the Basic Auth end of support, you likely have received a couple of emails letting you know you would likely need to make changes to our email programs you are using.

You likely will want to check out this support page -Modern Authentication Methods now needed to continue syncing Outlook Email in non-Microsoft email apps - Microsoft Support)

Or if you install the latest version of Outlook you can easily setup your accounts there and it will work without having to worry about the different authentication setups.
