Hi - I didn't get a response and had set it up on my Outlook which is a pain as I already have a work and school account on Outlook and didn't want to add my personal on there too. However, have just seen the response from DMc_737 and followed that and it works and it's back on my iphone mail app now. Maybe give it a try?
Yes that worked - thank you so much, appreciate the help.
I had this problem too but solved it by instead of clicking 'add account' i clicked outlook then put in my hotmail address and password and it worked, i can now access them again on my mail app. I also use my outlook app for my work emails so didn't want to go down that route.
Let me know if it worked!
Hi Louise,
Did you get a response to this? I have the same problem on my iPhone 13, which started yesterday. I have a new Outlook mail account which is still working but my old Hotmail account is no longer working on my Iphone. Because of the repeated failed attempts on my iPhone my desktop version rejected me and I reset the password as recommended by Microsoft, its now working on my computer but I'm getting the Imap server message.
