Search no longer works in Outlook. When I try to type something in the search field, it 'flashes' and nothing is entered. This morning there was both an Outlook and a Windows update.

For what it's worth, mine mysteriously fixed itself today. No particular action from me.
Its the wifi.. As soon as internet connection is stopped search works !! Communication back to MS server is whats doing it. But, need the internet to get results and use Outlook on PC
Every Sept/Oct MS breaks something...
Don't waste time on repair program as a user it does nothing.
Thanks to Jo Ann C for noticing this aspect of fault.....
For me and at least 6 others, our programs worked again once we cleared the history cached in our Microsoft accounts.
I wrote about it a few posts back. In the first half of my post I mention all the recommended fixes that didn't work, toggle wifi was tried, but I forgot to mention it. The second half of my post was instructions with screenshots of how to clear the cache on the Microsoft account server.
