Search no longer works in Outlook.

Search no longer works in Outlook. When I try to type something in the search field, it 'flashes' and nothing is entered. This morning there was both an Outlook and a Windows update.

    Hi Gabriel,

    Thanks for the reply. I tried clearing my search history... although mine seems to look a little different - mine says "Settings & Privacy, Clear History, Confirm" (that's it), and this didn't seem to solve the issue at all.

    According to the incident the service team enabled a service patch on 11/1/24. The issue should be mitigated but it did not say how long that patch would take to deploy.

    Please try the workaround Ploquit shared on 10/21 on page 3. The workaround in brief is the following:

    1. Go to Privacy, Web Search, for your Microsoft Account, https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/web-search 
    2. Locate Search History and click Clear all activities.

    I am still having this issue... no matter what I do, my search will not work. Just keeps saying "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later." My notifications also aren't working... this section says "We can't receive notifications right now. Please try again later."

    I can confirm that worked for me - took a little while to feed through - took the dog for a walk and when I logged back on a couple of hours later all was good again!

    I actually had 27K items on my search , cleared it all and it started working after a few hours , thank you for providing the solution.
