Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
I don't know if this helps or hinders - but they've "partly" added it and broken the thing.
Last week I turned on my PC to see that all my archive files had appeared.
I've got lots of archives going back some years. I keep them on my OneDrive.
Notice the date/timestamp for date modified. In OLD Outlook evey time you open Outlook with a PST in the list the thing gets accessed. For that reason I used to keep them in my D: drive locally so they weren't constantly backing up in OneDrive.
When I switched to NEW Outlook all I saw was my three email accounts. I found (here) that PSTs didn't work any more so I bunged them on OneDrive and if I needed to search I switched to Old Outlook knowing that they would all have to backup again (I did a search yesterday for an email hence the identical date/time on all o fthe files from 2016 onwards.
When I opened up NEW Outlook last week I saw this.
All my archives had appeared in the sidebar!
I click on one and it shows this
Which is odd, because I have a 365 subscription!
The agent on chat was nonplussed. Took over my screen and switched back to Old Outlook and told me I could get them there. I pointed out that if they had appeared in New Outlook I might reasonably expect to access them there too (hopefully without the timestamp issue too). They suggested I open a Feedback (which I did).
I didn't add them to New Outlook. I don't know how to add/remove from New Outlook for my PST files. I don't know what is going on but something is happening... I hope it means someone is working on a solution to our collective problem.
