Not sure how this happened but the new outlook is easily the worst piece of software I have ever seen. That takes into account MS-Dos and Win 95 disasters.
No clue why on earth they would force this garbage on us, when most of us used to say how great outlook was......
I MUST get back to classic now and how can I do it as it dropped all my other email accounts and created armageddon
NEED answers now
Thanks you

Okay when I booted my desktop this morning outlook was the new design just like yesterday's message said it would be, however, I clicked on the switch to change it back to classic and it actually reverted back. I sent MS another feedback message that I will drop my 365 subscription if they force the new outlook on me.
Everybody who hates new outlook needs to give them similar feedback to stop the madness.
Here is another good guide:
Here's a very easy guide on how to do it:
https://www.companionlink.com/support/kb/How_to_Turn_Off_New_Outlook
With Office 2024 and Window 11 24H2. No Outlook Classic listed.
Fix: Open System Settings. Goto Accounts. Goto Email & Accounts. Click Add Account and add in an exchange account. At this point, you will see Outlook (classic) on the All Apps list. Click it and configure a profile in Outlook.
Crazy part - You can now go back and delete that account you manually created. The classic will remain and will also be available when logging on with other users/profiles.
Of note - Under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0, you will find Outlook Key folder. Same for HKLM.
Reason for this roundabout fix is that Outlook New does not support On-Prem Exchange. Also, the old Control Panel 'Mail' no longer exists to create the user profile.
EDIT: They've patched out the fix I'd found. If you go to @2Learn4Fun on the fourth tab of this thread, the link to D/L Outlook Classic (inlcuded here) does still work. You need to scroll down to the 'Install Classic' section and click on the download button. The install from store might or might not work. The reviews are questionable.
I updated my fix notes since this thread started growing again. If anyone installs from the store, let us know if it really still works for you.
