download classic outlook

Sorry to jump on this old post, I'm currently trying to use Outlook, I can only use classic as when I attempt to sign up to the new one it tells me it can't sign me in as the license provided by my work or school doesn't allow access to outlook.

I already use Outlook classic for my emails. Why will it not let me sign in on the new one?

non so rispondere alla tua domanda, la versione new di outlook mi è stata inviata da Microsoft su PC appena comprato. A me la versione new ha creato problemi di lettura di vecchie mail e sono tornata non senza difficoltà alla versione classic che preferisco.

You cannot toggle from outlook New on windows 10! As soon as you select mail it immediately in a milli-second downloads outlook New! Then you have come out, go to settings, select Apps, select the now downloaded outlook New, then uninstall the New Outlook ,wait for that to happen, go back and select outlook classic ,and if you are very lucky and fast enough, you can Dismiss the New for the favoured Classic, AND you have to go through this process every time you want your mail in Classic. Its a disgrace that we are held to ransom by Microsoft,I have been trying for months to communicate with them, but they say this the way they want to go ,so tuff cheese public. !

FINALLY!! Found Outlook for Windows Classic. Find the Microsoft Store on your pc; Search for Outlook for Windows (classic) Download and click to install, which takes quite a while. Go to Settings, Apps, Default Apps, Outlook. Set all file types to Outlook NOT Outlook new!! Return to Settings, Apps, Installed Apps and Uninstall Outlook New. And it works, doesn't try to revert to Outlook New - after months of struggling and complaining via Feedback about Outlook (new), some sanity has returned to my world...until 2029 anyway. Hope this works for you.
