New Outlook: I cannot add a new contact to People.

I click on the blue New Contact button & nothing happens. There is no error message. I have cleared the Outlook cache. I also did Quick Repair & Online Repair but I still cannot add new contacts.

    I'm having the same issue. This is something outlook should fix sooner than later please.

    Super frustrating. Same issue. My "workaround" is that I can add a new Contact List. I created a new Contact list with the name. ******@aol.com and then list only one address on the list: ******@aol.com

    Now, when I type ******@aol.com I can send an email to the list, which only contains ******@aol.com

    Very Clunky and non Apple :-(. I've been forced to use Outlook by my hosting company GoDaddy or I would abandon Outlook immediately.

    Yep, Ive been having the same issue. I used to be able to right click on the name of the sender or anyone in the 'to' or 'cc' list and "Add to Contacts" but that no longer works. In fact, when I right click on the name, if and i mean IF, a drop down is given it will highlight, but nothing happens. No boxes open, nothing.

    I am ready to move my entire team to Google Workspace, as we are a nonprofit, and our contact list is our lifeblood. Outlook has given me so many problems in the past with my staff and myself. As hard as it is to want to move to google because I hate their email optics and functionality, it is looking as if it is the only option as I have run out of patience with Microsoft on so many different levels.

    If the issue persists, please open an In App ticket via Help, Support. Some issues like this require the logs to investigate further.

    A couple things to check:

    Make sure New Outlook is up to date.

    1. Right click the Windows Start button and click Run
    2. Type or paste this command and press OK: olk.exe --force-update

    After updating, test if the form is back working.

    Are you able to use the keyboard shortcut to open the New Contact form? To use the shortcut press Ctrl+N. On my test machine the shortcut was not working originally. I went to Settings, typed Keyboard Shortcuts. On this page I switched shortcuts to Outlook on the Web. After doing this when I clicked Shift+N it did open the form. After that I set it back to Outlook for Windows and now Ctrl+N started working.
