New Outlook: I cannot add a new contact to People.

I don't know what I have. I just want email!!!

Thanks for trying the workaround even though it did not help. I am passing along what the team found in some of the support cases. I see some responses they don't have offline yet. The rollout for that feature might not be at everyone yet but I will check on its status.

In order for me to try and better repro it please let me know what accounts you have. Are they M365, Outlook.com, Gmail, etc? Which is the main account the contacts are not working?

The Outlook Team is investigating this issue for a fix. If you are still experiencing the issue, please try the workaround below.

This issue seems to be reproducible when the option Enable offline email, calendar, and people is enabled and according to our Outlook Support Team, customers managed to resolve the issue by toggling this to OFF and back to ON. Please give this a try in case it can help.

I am also having the same problem. It is so basic why don't they fix it rather than ask us to do a load of work that brings us back to the same problem.

If the issue persists, please open an In App ticket via Help, Support. Some issues like this require the logs to investigate further.

A couple things to check:

Make sure New Outlook is up to date.

1. Right click the Windows Start button and click Run
2. Type or paste this command and press OK: olk.exe --force-update

After updating, test if the form is back working.

Are you able to use the keyboard shortcut to open the New Contact form? To use the shortcut press Ctrl+N. On my test machine the shortcut was not working originally. I went to Settings, typed Keyboard Shortcuts. On this page I switched shortcuts to Outlook on the Web. After doing this when I clicked Shift+N it did open the form. After that I set it back to Outlook for Windows and now Ctrl+N started working.
