New Report button in Outlook 2407 - How do i remove it?

Hi There,

We currently use a third-party phishing and spam report add-on in Outlook. Previously we used the Report Message add-in but soon removed this just so we would have one means of reporting emails.

This has been working for us fine but I have noticed that on the current Channel there is another "Report" button on the Home tab. I can't see any information on this in the release notes and nothing in the Microsoft Admin Centre that can remove this tenant-wide. The only way I can remove it is manually removing it from the Ribbon, which isn't feasible for 200+ devices.

Can anyone assist in how I can remove this for all devices?

    Exact same thing I'm seeing here unfortunately, although speaking to other colleagues on the same build version they don't have this new report button, so doesn't seem like it on everyone's outlook.

    I think if it becomes more of a problem we will just have to advise users to either remove it from their ribbon manually, or advise them to ignore and use the third-party one all the time.

    I am experiencing the same thing and have the setting "Use a non-Microsoft add-in button" option enabled. As mentioned in the notice and in your posting, it is stated that the new "Report" button should not be visible, yet it is on our machines. Why is this still getting deployed to Classic Outlook versions when the configurations are set to use a third party option?

    I just tested again on my test tenant and after I follow the steps the Report button is no longer showing in Classic Outlook. I had to restart Outlook after the change for it to take effect. Do you have anything setup different than I do? Make sure your tenant is signed into Office with the same tenant that you are making the changes for. Also, the Report button is currently available to 50% of Current Channel so not all machines will have it yet. If you need to make sure your machine, has it put it on Beta or CC Preview which are both at 100%.

    I made sure I am on Current Channel latest build and my test tenant account is signed in. I have machines on CC Preview and Beta and I tested with those to and they behave the same.

    I am on Beta channel and have had the report button for a while now. All other users are on Current Channel, and many are seeing the new Report button.

    All users are signed in to same tenant as we only have single tenant. Tried unchecking "Monitor reported messages in Outlook", saving and re-enabling, Also, no change. I do not see the new Report button in outlook.office.com nor new Outlook.

    I hate this needless change... so now what's the difference between this and the "Protection" reporting button add-in? Does this still feed reports into Defender for scrutiny? I can't just "turn it off" because I want the iOS apps to still have reporting capabilities but I also don't want to confuse those on Windows with two different buttons.
