Hi There,
We currently use a third-party phishing and spam report add-on in Outlook. Previously we used the Report Message add-in but soon removed this just so we would have one means of reporting emails.
This has been working for us fine but I have noticed that on the current Channel there is another "Report" button on the Home tab. I can't see any information on this in the release notes and nothing in the Microsoft Admin Centre that can remove this tenant-wide. The only way I can remove it is manually removing it from the Ribbon, which isn't feasible for 200+ devices.
Can anyone assist in how I can remove this for all devices?

Are admins able to remove the "report" button from Outlook clients? We only want 1 button, and do not want to confuse our staff or waste time on this kind of thing.
My teammate just talked to MS support about this issue. Response we got was:
Still a known issues on Microsoft's side of things with the report button. They are still working on a fix getting documentation and other published articles on it. Internally they can't share the exact status yet, but it is something they are working on.
Typical Microsoft answer, I would say.
I went to Entra > Applications > Enterprise Applications and deleted the Report Message button.

I am experiencing the same thing and have the setting "Use a non-Microsoft add-in button" option enabled. As mentioned in the notice and in your posting, it is stated that the new "Report" button should not be visible, yet it is on our machines. Why is this still getting deployed to Classic Outlook versions when the configurations are set to use a third party option?

As mentioned in Gabriel Bratton's reply: If you have the reporting feature turned off in the Microsoft 365 Defender User reported settings page or are using a third-party add-in, the reporting buttons in classic Outlook for Windows won't be visible.
Since you've checked the related settings and you want to remove this tenant-wide instead of manually removing it from the Ribbon for 200+ devices, in this case, it's suggested to generating a service request to our online support as an administrator****through the Microsoft 365 admin center.
