Outlook app currently non-functional on Samsung Watch 7, Ultra, 6, 5, etc.

EDIT: September 13, 2024:

As of Outlook version 4.2435.1 Outlook is working again on my watch for both email and calendar events. I had to wait a little bit after I installed this new version before calendar events started sinking, but everything does work now.

Original message:

When I launch the Outlook app on my Watch Ultra I get the error in below:

"Add an account on mobile to use the app"

I am running the Outlook app on my phone (S21) and have multiple accounts (Hotmail and Gmail) set up in the Outlook app.

The app refuses to open normally and function. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my watch. I've installed the app on the watch from the Play Store on my phone, and from the Play Store on the watch.

No change.

When I set up my Galaxy Watch Ultra I did not do a restore from my previous Galaxy watch, and I also cleared cache on the watch after setup, so the watch is as fresh as can be. The watch is up-to-date w/the most recent FW from Samsung, ver AXG2.

Please release an updated version of the Outlook app for Android watches that fixes this problem. Currently the Outlook Android watch app is unusable.

This did not work. this is the process before the issue. The calendar doesn't sync. In fact, watch says add account on mobile after install. it will not communicate.

There is a new version, 4.2435.1, that solves the problem.

Go to the Play store and see if it's available for you yet. If it is, install it on your phone and then it should also download and install on your watch. If it's taking a while to download to your watch you can try to go into the Play store and your watch and updating it from there.

After it's installed on your phone in your watch, things should work. They did for me, no uninstalls required,

That's the problem right there. The UK play store is still pushing out 4.24.34.1. What is really annoying is that if you go to the app store via a web browser on a pc it says that the version available is the new version. Ah well I guess at least I know it is coming and will be available soon.
