EDIT: September 13, 2024:

As of Outlook version 4.2435.1 Outlook is working again on my watch for both email and calendar events. I had to wait a little bit after I installed this new version before calendar events started sinking, but everything does work now.

Original message:

When I launch the Outlook app on my Watch Ultra I get the error in below:

"Add an account on mobile to use the app"

I am running the Outlook app on my phone (S21) and have multiple accounts (Hotmail and Gmail) set up in the Outlook app.

The app refuses to open normally and function. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my watch. I've installed the app on the watch from the Play Store on my phone, and from the Play Store on the watch.

No change.

When I set up my Galaxy Watch Ultra I did not do a restore from my previous Galaxy watch, and I also cleared cache on the watch after setup, so the watch is as fresh as can be. The watch is up-to-date w/the most recent FW from Samsung, ver AXG2.

Others are reporting the same issue:

Please release an updated version of the Outlook app for Android watches that fixes this problem. Currently the Outlook Android watch app is unusable.

That version is working but I still don't see the selecting the Outlook watch face as an option? Do you have that, and if so, how did you access?

Hi no I don't have that sorry. On my Galaxy Ultra I use the ( rather busy but useful "Informative Ultra Info Board" watch face which is a true 'life dashboard' on my watch !!

Happy to confirm that the watch app is now syncing after updating the phone app to 4.2435.1; I didn't even have to uninstall and reinstall the watch app. However, it looks like the watch app is also now at the same version, 4.2435.1.

Someone had mentioned previously that they installed the phone app from the Samsung Store and that re-enabled the agenda, however checking the Samsung store I find version 4.2422.0 from June 30th. So while that may have fixed the issue, it wasn't due to installing a "new" version ... of course the user may have been in a different region (I'm in the US) where the release schedule is a bit more current.

Same for me, the new 4.2435.1 version has fixed my issues, Outlook is working on my watch for both email and calendar events.

I had to wait a little while after installing it before calendar events showed up, seems like they took a little bit of time to sync.

    Victory finally.
