Outlook app currently non-functional on Samsung Watch 7, Ultra, 6, 5, etc.

EDIT: September 13, 2024:

As of Outlook version 4.2435.1 Outlook is working again on my watch for both email and calendar events. I had to wait a little bit after I installed this new version before calendar events started sinking, but everything does work now.

Original message:

When I launch the Outlook app on my Watch Ultra I get the error in below:

"Add an account on mobile to use the app"

I am running the Outlook app on my phone (S21) and have multiple accounts (Hotmail and Gmail) set up in the Outlook app.

The app refuses to open normally and function. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my watch. I've installed the app on the watch from the Play Store on my phone, and from the Play Store on the watch.

No change.

When I set up my Galaxy Watch Ultra I did not do a restore from my previous Galaxy watch, and I also cleared cache on the watch after setup, so the watch is as fresh as can be. The watch is up-to-date w/the most recent FW from Samsung, ver AXG2.

Others are reporting the same issue:

Please release an updated version of the Outlook app for Android watches that fixes this problem. Currently the Outlook Android watch app is unusable.

    Hello,

This issue is being experienced across our organization. Executives who rely upon mobile devices such as Android and iOS devices, inclusive of watches such as these, cannot access their Outlook. More urgently, calendars are inaccessible on a worn device. This adds a degree of severity to the situation.

I'm looking forward to a resolution and when it can be expected. As over 45 replies and 109 have reported this, and within the organization, the issue is impacting more than a handful of people: This is an application-wide outage.

Please advise on the current status and when an update will be made available to correct this regression in the client.

    Thank you,

    Tom

The issue has nothing to do with the Ultra 7. It's no longer working after Microsoft updated Outlook earlier this month. Trying out on any wear OS watch isn't going to work now until they fix it.

    Help please

I purchased my new Ultra 7 watch hoping it would make my life easier. I have the same issue is everyone else although I am getting emails. As I work in Education it really helps when I can get all notifications and emails from the department, but I am currently not able to get any of the Compass notifications as this is routed via 365. I am also having trouble with Myfitness Pal.

It is seriously annoying. My 6 was so easy to set up, that I wanted to set this watch (7) up also as an independent watch to my 6.

I am fairy disgruntled as I paid outright for this device, and it is not delivering.

Will there be any updates to right these glitches or can I get a refund?

    Thanks

    Trisha
