Classic Outlook - Until when will it be supported & available for use?

I really hope Microsoft pays attention to all comments here and adapts the new Outlook according to the need of the users.

This way we won't have to start looking for other options.

I totally agree. Classic Outlook has been a lifeline for me. The new outlook does not deserve capital letters. As Digisland said, it's like a child did a school project to create a program with a couple of Outlook's features, and didn't even do a good job. The new version is scaled down, ultra rigid and missing all my favorite features. I am praying Paul Dallman (below) is right and features will be added, hopefully all the features of Classic Outlook, otherwise I am afraid 2029 (or whenever support for Classic Outlook ends) will be a difficult year for me!

Me too!! I've been saying for many years that whenever a new version of just about any thing comes out, features are taken away. I noticed that, the last time I "upgraded" my phone. Newer versions should more appropriately be called "downgrades". Very frustrating!

I was able to simply search for "Outlook" and it came up with "Outlook (New)" and "Outlook (Classic)". I right-clicked on the Outlook (Classic) app and pinned it to my Taskbar. So now this new icon opens the Classic Outlook directly.

I have only tried using New Outlook for 2 days. I couldn't bear it for more.

1. It changed all the times in the calendar to one hour BEFORE the time they are set in Classic.
2. I could find no way to sort the "Sent" folder to the "To:" field which I use a lot.
3. Even though MS says it is possible to switch back and forth, it is not. When I toggle the "new" setting off, a feedback form appears; I fill it out; click "submit", Outlook closes down and does NOT reappear in Classic form. If I reopen Outlook, it is still as "New". Same thing if I DON'T fill out the form. In fact once one has reinstalled MS 365, it takes an act of congress to find and install Classic.
4. Even though I have my OWN MS365 license, apparently there is no way to get MS to use MY license instead of my organization's so I can't set up a group distribution list. It forces me to use the outlook.com address for the organization. Did someone think a person would NEVER have access to two MS365 licenses? and, further, use one license for one purpose and the other for something else?

Please tell me that Microsoft didn't hand this app to the local high school to develop. How did they let this thing out the door?
