Hello! Could you please help me with uninstalling the new Outlook from my computer (Windows 11) as I would still like to use the outdated Windows Mail app? I found out the new Outlook version is in the following folder: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.OutlookForWindows_1.2024.925.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe. I prevented the installation of the new Outlook bij renaming of the folder Microsoft.OutlookForWindows_1.2024.925.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe. To do this I had to become owner of the ( Hidden) folder C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. Hello Addie, Thank you for your response, i got this when i input the code: Get-Acl : Cannot find path 'C:\Users\KING-CHIKE\AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Migration' because it does not exist. At line:21 char:8 $acl = Get-Acl -Path $folderP If possible can you share me a video on how to go about this or other ways of achieving the same outcome please.

Addie.C, Sadly, no, it did not work. Neither of the suggestions worked. I was really hopeful too. I found the folder just searching for migration as suggested and deleted the .json file as well as changing the write to deny. Then when that didn't work, I retried the code you had provided using powershell - as administrator - and that seemed to work this time without any error messages. Each time restarting my computer to make sure it took. No luck. Any other places to change/delete or other code to use?? Thanks.

Hello Addi.C, Everything went well. I had to change the script a little because the file name inside the Migration folder was correlation.json.

However, to avoid further issues, you can choose not to delete it and only change your username before proceeding with the operation. Additionally, you need to ensure that your username is correct.
