Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com
Well, so much for blocking by domain name. As of this morning the flood of messages are back in my junk mail folder because the sender changed. It's now like this:
ChargeCard <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>; on behalf of; ChargeCard <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>; (ChargeCard via agenciaidea.es)
and this:
Elon Musk <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>; on behalf of; Elon Musk <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>; (Elon Musk via agenciaidea.es)
Basically it's being sent "on behalf of" now from an ever-changing list of email addresses at hotmail.fr. I had to go into settings, add hotmail.fr to the safe senders list, then make a second rule to move messages from hotmail.fr to deleted items. Apologies to anyone trying to email me from hotmail.fr for something legitimate...
Even the emails from hotmail.fr and hotmail.es appear to have agenciaidea.es in their header info, so you may be able to use just one rule to handle them all by using the rule condition of Message header includes agenciaidea.es. Would still have to whitelist the various domains but at least it would only delete the ones from agenciaidea.es and not others. Plus saves from having to create multiple rules.
