Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com
Does not work. Emails still come
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
After a fairly quiet six months-or-so, I am suddenly getting a flood of SPAM from "******@agenciaidea.es".
I am talking around 50-per-day, and sometimes in batches of several within a few minutes.
They all have the same format, with purple writing at the top and the "advert" appearing as an image below.
Also, the "To:..." is never my email address, but a Hotmail address with a load of random letters (e.g. "******@hotmail.com").
Help!

Me too. Same thing. Over 60 per day.
Unfortunately blocking the sender means the email will go to your junk folder, there is no way to fully block an email arriving in your email folders. The vast majority of the emails have come from a singular spoofed email address ******@agenciaidea.es therefore I suggest to you to create a rule sending the messages immediately to your deleted folder, then report the emails as phising so Microsoft is alerted and can take the relevant action. It has worked for me and the emails have stopped. If they are using alternative email addresses you may have to create another rule which automatically redirects those spoofed emails to your deleted folder. I hope that helps.
This doesn't help because the are constantly changing the senders address despite what is displayed and has been blocked sender multiple times, btw when the block sender is applied to a message that message should be immediately deleted not moved to or left in the junk folder
I have the exact same problem, and Microsoft since they are some
how pointing bogus Hotmail addresses to my Hotmail address this is a Microsoft issue, that is Not occurring in my Gmail account. You Microsoft need to fix this.
