Duluge of SPAM from "agenciaidea.es"

After a fairly quiet six months-or-so, I am suddenly getting a flood of SPAM from "******@agenciaidea.es".

I am talking around 50-per-day, and sometimes in batches of several within a few minutes.

They all have the same format, with purple writing at the top and the "advert" appearing as an image below.

Also, the "To:..." is never my email address, but a Hotmail address with a load of random letters (e.g. "******@hotmail.com").

Help!

I had the same issue. I use outlook online and was able to select one of the items in my spam and flagged it for phishing. This blocked the email address, and I haven't gotten any overnight since doing so and I usually wake up to dozens of these emails, so I think it worked!

Thanks to all for the discussion and ideas. I just did this for the last batch of 10 I received. We'll see what happens.

LET'S RETHINK THIS ISSUE - Change our vision from a M/S Outlook systemwide spam assault to a Denial of Service (DoS) or since there are multiple IP addresses being used to send this traffic, consider this a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack on the various servers that are affected with the daily deluge. For those not familiar with the definition of a DoS/DDoS here is a link to Cloudflare - definition of DoS/DDoS.

Our ISP servers have to be slowed down somewhat just by the volume of trash each email receives. And I'm sure it's not much different with the M/S worldwide system.

    Just a thought?! John

P.S. - The domain "agenciaidea.es" is the email domain to the Spanish website Agencia de Innovacion Desarrollo de Andalucia (IDEA)

Did you email this organization about the use of their email address? Of course, the sender may be spoofing this address.

I've send a message to "@agenciaidea.es [undefined:@agenciaidea.es]" asking if they are at the origin of these spams
