Remove NEW Outlook from system and revert to MAIL

Mail was recently updated to Version 16005.14326.22062.0.

Mail will not start up without contortions. New Outlook has taken over. It is wasting too of my much time. My emails are too important to be monkeyed around with by Microsoft. I would like to decide when I want to install New Outlook. I don't want it forced on me.

New Outlook starts everytime Mail is closed. This causes New Outlook to go into a loop that takes several process to get Mail to start running again.

  1. C:\Users[your computer username]\AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\ according to the path. Migration\ settings.json, delete the file settings.json.
  2. Once the json file is deleted. New Outlook starts when Mail is opened. Click the switch to classic. New Outlook closes. Launch Mail and Mail starts running.

It has also lost mail in one of my folders. However GMail has retained the files.

I don't want to run New Outlook at this time. The last time I did this it caused havoc on my email and calender. I also don't like the fact that New Outlook deletes files older than 180 days, this does not work for me.

I tried unistalling New Outlook, but it restores as soon as Mail is Launched.

I just want to run MAIL.

I don't want NEW Outlook.

If nothing can be done, I will start running Thunderbird and eventually stop using all Microsoft products.

I use my windows computer to mainly do emails and surf the web. None of which requires MS Windows. I need my email to be stable and reliable. I don't need cloud storage or Microsoft 365. I am using it for home use. Microsoft should make a Windows version for home use, Don't force me into enterprise versions.

STOP forcing NEW Outlook on me! It is neither stable or reliable!

    I have tested the new Outlook.... Doesn't work for Xfinity because a app password.... Ever since they did this they forced me to use this Outlook app now, it will not allow one of my emails to work at all thru Xfinity at all! Also hate clicking on those damn ads every time! EVERY! SO done.... I am not about being forced to use the outlook app changing years of habits. This is illegal and unethical. They all hide under indemnification of this **** we all agree to. Ack! But that's for another day.... I have had it with all the recent updates thrown at my PC from Microsoft alone has cause so many strange issues on to of this wasting my time for the first time by updates that I been warned about and toggled that reminder off every time... Then the day comes it just messes with both the calendar and such I couldn't even edit a date.... I am getting too old for this ****. People cannot tell me to just blindly sit and except this nor change my habits! Ever since they did this I have been losing productivity and missing mails. ALL BC OF THIS...

    They already did and messed me up. Now I have to remember to use the web app. I am not about troubleshooting this on my limited budget, This was done to me as well as others and is making us re-think after all these years what is truly going on... Let alone the muscle memory thing. All they care about is the $$$$ bottom line etc... To heck with the winey people they probably think! Ugh... I am not done with this. If they do not fix it, what are we to do? Move on? Because of them being so stupid? This should be a national news thing how they can just up and up change how everything works on your pc changing apps that I have muscle memory to, this sucks so bad! The current trends we are in making me want to puke...

    Unbelievable! Imagine the people that just acquiesce to this sully company behavior? I hate clicking on ads every time my muscle memory sees a blue link! I have had to close numerous tabs that open up outside of outlook. I hate this! I have never in all my life. It is like a virus!

    I tried many ways to revert into old mail app which was working perfectly btw, but it keeps bringing back this new outlook garbage that opens with the speed of a snail.

    Does anyone in MS customer team cares what users think ??
