Why haven’t I got a response from my account recovery form that i submitted?

Hi I did the account recovery form for my friend as he lost access to his account due to suspicious activity and I filled out two forms but I haven’t gotten any positive or negative response back to me and the only exception was the security code that I got.

It says they will respond within 24 hours but it’s been at least over 30 hours as I filled them out on June 2nd. I know they can’t help with the account but is there any way to contact or speak to them about why it isn’t arriving in my email?

    Hello out there i've tried multiple times i have the correct info as i can see my account up to the day they froze it but no response unless you put the wrong info in then i get a denial so i've reported this to ofcom and my local mp contact your local MP just because its a free account doesn't mean you don't have a right to your decades old email especially as now we are in a digital world we need rights call your mp i mean how bad is it when microsoft cant have a human there are they that poor they cant afford it or don't they care ? i suspect the latter as we dont have eu clout behind us now

    call or email your mp you'll get a better response than microsoft ill keep you informed how i go

    I am in the same boat. I have had my account for 20 years. Microsoft locked it down. the cell phone attached is a number I no longer have. I keep filling out the form and no response.

    The last chat agent I talked to said they were having and issue, but resubmit in 24. He sent me and email and I can see he marked my problem resolved.

    So ABSOLTUELY frustrating. I have automatic subscriptions that I cannot login to to cancel them.

    If anyone has any luck keep us posted.

    Just letting you all know I finally got a recovery email response. I had to do it from and outlook email account.

    so the email was ******@outlook.com

    they still denied it, but it was at least a response. This was a big suggestion on my most recent chat. She told me if I do not get a response, it did not go through or its going to my spam.

    Good luck everyone I know how painful this is.

    I am having the exact same problem, yet it has been 6 months since the OP posted this. It has already been over 72 hours for me, when should it come through?

    I’m having the same issues on two very old precious accounts. I know for a fact that the info I am putting in is correct. I haven’t got a response on the last two forms I did for each account. But there are very precious photos and videos of my kids etc on there. Forms are not coming back and I’m so frustrated as I lost access to the accounts in December. There isn’t even a tracking log so you can even see if the form is being processed. It has been well over 3 weeks since I did the application form and I’m at my wits end now please help!!!
