Unpin New Outlook from Windows task bar

Hi. I am unable to unpin New Outlook from my task bar in Windows. Can you please advise? It seems that there is a new functionality with the right-click on the task bar icon for New Outlook. The popup window is different from all other applications. Thanks.

To remove this Outlook New virus (because that's what it is!) from the taskbar I looked for it in the Apps list and uninstalled it. Finally gone after wasting precious time. Thanks MS for messing up a perfectly good messaging system with a virtually unusable 'upgrade'. Let's just go back to DOS.

a different process of this recommendation worked for me. Thank you. I agree with the wasted time and never being able to recoup it. it took me almost 3 days to figure it out. I am surprised at Microsoft playing this game.

I agree. I'm having the same issue. I'm reverting back to old Outlook as new Outlook keeps dropping attachments. Make me look incapable when I have to keep appologising to people becuase it look like I cannot remember to attach file!

Neither of these suggestions worked for me, I did not get an 'Unpin from taskbar' option when right clicking the icon on the taskbar and I did not get an 'Options' option in the menu after opening New Outlook.

The way I had to make this virus go away from the taskbar was to click on Start > click on 'All apps' > locate 'Outlook (new)' > right click 'Outlook (new)' > click 'More' > click 'Unpin from Taskbar'.

I will never get the time back I spent blindly chasing around to find this, so thank you Microsoft.

You are a Hero, I'll never understand why Microsoft wants to reinvent the wheel and just forces us into stuff that no only dosn't work but it's annoying, using the new Outlook made my efficiency go down due to how bad it is, I couldn't even propertly open attached files due to the new version forcing me to download them or open them on an online version of Microsoft Office.
