Hi. I am unable to unpin New Outlook from my task bar in Windows. Can you please advise? It seems that there is a new functionality with the right-click on the task bar icon for New Outlook. The popup window is different from all other applications. Thanks.

Your solution doesn't work, in Windows 11 at least, as of Jan 2025
Right clicking on the New Outlook icon, regardless of whether the application is running or not, does not offer any "unpin" or "options" option to select.
It looks like MS is forcing this onto the Task Bar.
Opening the app and then right-clicking the icon > going to Options wasn't available to me.
HOWEVER, what did work was Start > right-click New Outlook icon > Unpin from Taskbar.
If I've learned anything from this thread, then I've learned that no one way will likely work for everybody, but that's what worked for me. Good luck.
That worked. Anything they can do to make it difficult to use the program of their choice.
I figured it out! Go to the start menu - search for the new outlook, then right click its icon and you will get the pin/unpin options! Woop woop
