Unpin New Outlook from Windows task bar

I am so sorry, but I bought a Surface Pro. I have been using it for two weeks, and things like this make me so angry. You know very well that Matthew cannot just easily UNPIN it. I think Microsoft is trying to control how I like to work. Surely, a simple UNPIN would have been considered by Microsoft. This would help in treating us like individuals and not herd us towards the way Microsoft thinks. This function should have worked.

Unbelievable how poor of a decision EVERYTHING about the new outlook is.

Seriously, how this cancer of a software was released in this form is beyond me.

Shift+Right-Click and it provides a "secret" option to unpin.

Microsoft really needs to think about removal of or hidden functionality they seem to be focused on, Perhaps for the masses to make it more user friendly but its at the cost of annoying the hell out of the typical users.

Off-topic - there's also a registry adjustment to get rid of the extra "Show extra options" when you right click a file in windows 11:

Run the PowerShell app (search powershell) and copy paste the string below and press enter, should get a successful message. Need to restart to take effect.

I would like to suggest to offer the current product manager of the New Outlook a New job and let someone else step in? After one year of trying I am back at the Old Outlook.

First I tried the New Outlook on my Mac. Horrible. So many features where lacking e,g. creating new folders in my archived inbox to organize them. Used to work before.

Now switched to Windows 11 and Office. I assumed the New Outlook would be better implemented but unfortunately. Automatic searching for IMAP/SMTP server does not always work well. But then not implement the option to change it manually is so weird? Why did you not put this on your roadmap? Syncing of my icloud calendar basically does not work.

So I went back to the old outlook. Love it. But then I wanted to remove the icon from the taskbar and ended up here. Again? Who decided to add the right-click button to all office but excluded this for the New Outlook?

I feel there is a huge push in so many ways to get us into the new Outlook BUT the experience is so so bad...
