Hi everyone, I am getting this error message again, "Unable to verify account name or password" from my hotmail.it account on the MacBook. Despite attempting all the solutions suggested by Google/Apple, none seem to resolve the issue. A temporary fix I found was to delete hotmail account from the mail account list, and then re-add it again. This worked for a few weeks, but then the error message resurfaced. I have the same problem, none of the fixes proposed by Microsoft is resolving the issue, the only thing that could resolve the issue is to migrate away from Microsoft e-mail services and use something that works. Nobody will solve this, it's a known problem since ages.
I am having issues with my email account from time to time. I have just gone off line and tried everything to rectify however it's not letting me do that on my i Mac. I tried to sign in and and with ebtering the password it says unable to verify account name or the password!
Please advise further as I have tried the steps from the trail of emails however it's of no use.

I've given up on Email and hotmail and live.com on the Mac. Had this problem for years. Also the email program is antiquated with no major updates in years - shame but hello outlook bye bye apple
Log of on your outlook email account and log back in . This somehow works for me from time to time or just open up outlook on a tab and use it that way.
Same here.
Deleting and re-adding the account didn't work.
