Hi everyone, I am getting this error message again, "Unable to verify account name or password" from my hotmail.it account on the MacBook. Despite attempting all the solutions suggested by Google/Apple, none seem to resolve the issue. A temporary fix I found was to delete hotmail account from the mail account list, and then re-add it again. This worked for a few weeks, but then the error message resurfaced. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards, Felicia.

On iMac open mail app. Select add account.
One of the choices should be Microsoft Exchange
Enter info and save

I'd like to try this. I can't find where to change these settings?
Through Mac Internet accounts I can't see advanced options and in a tab using Outlook there is an option to toggle POP and IMAP but not to put in the new settings? Would appreciate any help!

And I finally think I did away with the vampire name showing up. I’m glad this is helping people after 2 hours on phone with Apple and no solution I used Exchange as a last ditch guess and …it worked!
I guess vampire is still showing up. I changed screen name preferences - did not help so guess I’m 1 for 2
